Police stumble upon body during Bethelsdorp patrol

SAPS Chatty members were patrolling the end of Stanford Road when they stumbled upon the body on an unidentified man during the early hours of the morning on Thursday, September 1.

Police spokesperson, Col. Priscilla Naidu, said that the members noticed someone lying in the gravel road just before 01:00. When they stopped to investigate, they discovered the body of an unknown male.

“The deceased is suspected to be in his 30s and has a tattoo on his right upper arm with the name/word ‘Clibo’ surrounded by flames. On his right lower arm he has a tattoo of two dice and on the right forearm, he has a tattoo of a crown, money and the letter ‘S.’ He sustained multiple bruises throughout his body,” Naidu said.

He also had this tattoo on his right forearm.

Police are investigating a case of murder.

Anyone who can assist SAPS Bethelsdorp with any information relating to the murder or  may be able to identify the deceased through the tattoos, is urgently asked to contact D/Sgt.
