Temperatures are set to hover in the mid-to-late thirties for most of South Africa as the South African Weather Service issued an alert for extremely high fire danger conditions.

Extreme high fire danger conditions are expected over places in the Northern Cape, North West and Free State.

The Eastern Cape will be partly cloudy and cool to warm, with showers and rain along the coast in the evening.

KwaZulu-Natal will have morning fog over the interior, otherwise fine and warm to hot, but very hot to extremely hot in the north.

It will become partly cloudy from the south in the afternoon.
